What is ApoKalypse about?

When a rat-poison COVID "cure" turns entitled mall shoppers into brain-dead zombies with Karen haircuts, customer service becomes a fight for survival. The story follows Apo Guerrero, a 21-year-old skater stuck in a fast-food job when the mall goes undead.

It's a three-year passion project, directed and produced by Lutz Geiger: gritty, twisted and entirely independent, and a satire of post-pandemic retail culture.

Is Uwe Boll in ApoKalypse?

Yes. Cult filmmaker Uwe Boll has a speaking cameo. Boll and Geiger have worked together since: Geiger is an associate producer on Boll's Citizen Vigilante (2026), starring Armie Hammer, and Boll appears as himself in Geiger's next animated feature, SKETCHY.

What the critics said

"A fun, satirical, and surprisingly thoughtful low-budget indie that feels like a labor of love." (The Independent Critic)
"Audacious, genre-bending feature that dives headfirst into undead chaos and razor-sharp satire." (Influx Magazine)
"A biting, twisted take on consumerism and social media culture. A must-watch for indie horror fans." (Film Threat)
